Kinumpirma ni Senator Hontiveros, ang chair ng Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, at Gender Equality, na naglabas na ng arrest warrant ang Davao regional trial court laban kay self-proclaimed “Son of God” na si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy para sa kasong sexual abuse, nitong Miyerkules, ika-3 ng Abril.
“Upon a judicious examination and perusal of the Information, the records of the preliminary investigation, including the affidavits and written statements, and other attachments to the Information, the Court finds probable cause to issue Warrant of Arrest,” nakasaad sa arrest warrant.
Ayon kay Hontiveros, halos lahat ng institusyon sa bansa ay kumikilos upang managot si Quiboloy. Bukod dito, malaki ang tiwala niya sa Davao police na ipatutupad ang arrest warrant.
“Bilang na ang mga masasayang araw ni Apollo Quiboloy. Halos lahat na ng institusyon sa Pilipinas ay gumagalaw para mapanagot siya,” ani ni Hontiveros.
Kasama ni Quiboloy sa mga akusado ang limang kasamahan nito na sina Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, at Sylvia Cemañes.
Nahaharap sila sa kasong pang-aabuso sa sekswal at pang-aabuso sa bata sa ilalim ng Seksyon 5 (b) at Seksyon 10 (a) ng Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, at Discrimination Act. | J.A Idanan, B.Channel News
