International Floating Community MV Doulos Hope Returns to Batangas After 17 Years

The renowned non-profit organization’s MV Doulos Hope, hailed as the world’s largest floating book fair, is set to return to Batangas City from April 16 to 28, marking its comeback after a 17-year hiatus, according to the MV Doulos Hope.

“We would love to see you again, and especially, we are looking for local volunteers who can be the bridge between the international crews and local visitors,” said MV Doulos Hope.

With its return to Batangas, the German-based vessel is currently seeking local volunteers who can actively participate in enriching cross-cultural experiences and fostering lasting connections.

According to the organization, extending a warm invitation to potential volunteers will play a crucial role in facilitating understanding of Filipino cultures and languages while assisting in the smooth operation of the ship.

Currently, the non-profit organization’s Doulos Hope vessel is docked at the Poro Point Freeport Zone, San Fernando City, La Union, from March 3 until March 24, and it is scheduled to head to Manila and Batangas Port next month. | J.A Idanan, B.Channel News
