President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inaugurated the country’s first AI-ready and largest hyperscale data center, the VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) Data Center, today April 23, 2025, in Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.
Developed by VITRO Inc., a subsidiary of ePLDT under the PLDT Group, the VSR facility is a significant advancement in digital infrastructure, designed to support cloud services, high-performance enterprise systems, and AI technologies. With 50 megawatts of IT capacity and over 13,000 square meters of space, the center places the Philippines as a leader in digital innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Powered by NVIDIA GPU servers, the data center facilitates large-scale AI adoption, enabling real-time data analytics, automation, and advanced digital tools. It also emphasizes sustainability by sourcing 35% of its energy from renewable sources.
President Marcos highlighted the center’s role in the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision, noting that it is a testament to the country’s future-readiness and commitment to regional development beyond Metro Manila.
