Opening of Breastfeeding Station at ‘The Outlets’ Food Court Marks Milestone in Lipa City, Batangas

Yesterday, February 23, 2024, the Breastfeeding Station was opened in the food court of ‘The Outlets.’ The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Lipa City Health Officer Dr. Ariel Lescano, Lipa City Councilor Dr. Percival Lajo, and PCCI-Lipa City Chapter President May Ann Katigbak.

The event was not merely ceremonial but also served as an informative session on the benefits of breastfeeding, led by PCCI Women’s Health Chairman Janet Bancoro. Her insightful talk shed light on the importance of mothers breastfeeding their children.

The PCCI Lipa City Chapter also distributed 20 packs of Baby Essentials to every mother who attended, providing support for their breastfeeding journey.

The event saw the presence of respected PCCI members, including Jun Sanchez, Jherald Espeleta, Ting Caedo, Orlan Bancoro, as well as advocates for women’s health such as Rassel Joyce Espeleta, Jorica Garing, Maritess Jumarang, Liza Dimaculangan, and President May Ann Katigbak. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to maternal and child welfare, emphasizing the importance of collective action in promoting the health and well-being of mothers and their children in Lipa City.
